Reception

The reception desk is open 24 hours a day. Please note, however, that for security reasons the hotel doors are locked from 11:30 p.m. A doorbell is located at the entrance to request access.

Check-in: from 3:00 p.m. If you wish to check in earlier* (from 11:00 a.m.), an additional charge of €35 applies.

Check-out: by 12:00 noon at the latest. If you wish to check out later* (until 3:00 p.m.), an additional charge of €35 applies. For departures after 3:00 p.m., an additional night will be charged.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. from Monday to Friday, and from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on weekends. If you require a takeaway breakfast earlier than the usual service hours, please inform us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

If you prefer to enjoy breakfast in your room, we offer an in-room breakfast service. You may place your order by completing the order form provided in your room and hanging it on your door handle before going to bed.

We offer a buffet breakfast featuring a wide selection of fresh and tasty products. You will find hot beverages, fruit juices, breads and pastries, dairy products, hard-boiled or scrambled eggs, cereals, cold cuts, fresh fruit, as well as nuts and dried fruits.

Sightseeing

Besançon is a city rich in history and culture, offering numerous attractions for visitors and sure to delight and surprise you.
On sunny days, enjoy the outdoors! In addition to the Citadel, the city is surrounded by several forts (Fort de Bregille, Fort de Chaudanne) that offer beautiful hiking trails and spectacular views. The Old Town is a pleasure to explore, with its historic buildings, picturesque squares, and local shops. The banks of the Doubs River and Parc Micaud provide relaxing walks and green spaces ideal for picnics with lovely views.

  • The Citadel: A masterpiece by military architect Vauban, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It houses several museums (the Museum of the Resistance and Deportation, the Comtois Museum, and the Natural History Museum) and offers panoramic views over the city.
  • Saint-Jean Cathedral: A cathedral with impressive architecture and a unique astronomical clock, located right next to the Porte Noire, a 2nd-century Roman triumphal arch built in honor of Emperor Marcus Aurelius.
  • Museum of Fine Arts: Home to an extensive collection of artworks, antiquities, and archaeological objects.
  • Victor Hugo’s Birthplace: A memorial house dedicated to the writer, exploring his life and literary work.
